Today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgar Allan Poe.
Released on 25th June 1976, it was the debut album from The Alan Parsons Project. Conceived by Eric Woolfson, with many of the songs written before he had met Alan Parsons, the album drew its inspiration from the works of American writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe.
A remarkable beginning to a remarkable catalogue.
