MUST READ for people that don't know this.

This is called the “WASH WASH” scam. ❌❌

1. The lady entered the taxi and a man claiming to be stranded came to ask for direction. Initially they refuse to help then the driver talks to her and says the man has money and suggested they help the man but he will pay them.

Remember the driver and the "stranded man" are working together.

2. As they drive to a location, he promises to pay them a huge amount of money. On their way the story will change, he might say he has some "paper money" in his bag and needs to convert it to money but he needs chemical to "wash" the money. He will say the whole money after being washed is like 100 million or so. 🤣 The driver will then renegotiate the amount he will pay from 60k to 5 million each.

3. This is where the real scam is. When they get to the location, a third person comes. They bring some of the papers and put into a bucket of water with some chemical. They paper turns to 1,000 Naira notes or 100 Dollar notes. They give you some of the paper to put inside the water and it turns to money. Now, they need to buy more of the chemical to wash the remaining money. They will say the chemical is 150k or 200k. The taxi driver will say he can bring 50k and you should bring the remaining 150k so they can wash the money and each go with 5 million. 🤣🤣

Unfortunately a lot of greedy people fall for it. Also some people say they are hypnotized during this and have their phones, atm cards, money stolen.
