December of this year marks 20 years officially in business. 🎉
What a wild ride it’s been.
From starting by selling downloadable videos, to DVDs (remember those?), back to downloads, FreeDrumLessons on YouTube, starting the Drumeo membership, hosting the best artists in the world, and now the Musora journey has begun.
There have been many ups and downs, so to celebrate 20 years, the team put together an awesome documentary that tells the full story.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our community. Without our students, there would be no reason for us to exist. 🙏
@MarcNixon24 Shutting down the program would be idiotic. We need more prosecution of fraud by businesses and people coming in on student visas, abusing the program.
I am guessing most people who suggest killing the whole program have no idea what that actually means.
@SuprDuper77@S7Knsh306 @PillarLemieux @RebelNewsOnline Abolishing the entire program is not a solution. Uncovering and prosecuting fraud in the TFW and student visas sounds like a great start. But don’t cut where it’s working well. Just my $.02.
@Orwell_Was_Rite@StatisticsBC@johnlhoo@ezralevant I didn’t vote for him. That said, I want the best for our leaders and don’t think any party is all bad (Trudeau was mostly bad, though). I have been impressed with some of what Carney has done, and unimpressed in other areas.
That's a good point. Any abuse of the system should be stopped. When I applied for a TFW through my company, proof of my efforts to find local employment was an important part of the application.
I also think many current unemployed youth and others are not accepting certain jobs. There is a lot of entitlement to have the job that they want and a lack of hunger to work in Canada.
@johnlhoo@ezralevant I completely disagree. We need the TFW program; if anything, we should be bringing in more help. The program mandates that businesses prove that they have been looking locally without success. A TFW is only approved if no one local can be hired.
@THERESASMI34612@RebelNewsOnline The labour force participation rate is around 64% as some are too young or retired. This means approximately 21.74 million Canadians are in the labour force (either working or actively seeking work)
