🇺🇸 AI TO POWER UP CALIFORNIA’S LAST NUCLEAR PLANT

California’s only remaining nuclear plant, Diablo Canyon, is turning to AI for help as it seeks a 20-year license extension.

The AI tool, Neutron Enterprise—developed by local startup Atomic Canyon and powered by Nvidia—will comb through 9 million documents, making maintenance and age management easier at the 1985-built site.

Originally set to close, Diablo Canyon’s future now aligns with the state’s carbon goals.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) expects the AI will simplify access to records and improve maintenance planning.
