The best crypto products don't feel like crypto products.

They simply outperform the products they're replacing.

Take savings accounts, for example.

Most people leave their cash sitting in a bank earning next to nothing.

Then I came across @getaxal.

They're reimagining the savings account using stablecoins, allowing people to earn significantly higher yield on idle dollars while keeping the onboarding remarkably simple. Sign up with an email, get a wallet instantly, fund your account, and start earning.

The NFT collection hasn’t even launched yet, but it’s already one of the projects I’m watching closely because I think the IP can expand far beyond the web3 community.

Characters with simple but memorable designs can become some of the strongest IP.

The Gloomble character has a recognizable one eye design and visual style that feels like it could live anywhere.

Fashion, physical collectibles, games, animation, etc.

I can see it becoming a fashion symbol like the Comme des Garçons heart, or a recognizable character IP like Kirby.

Simple characters people remember are what turn into iconic brands.

An NFT project with major brand potential is @okdegen.

For NFTs to actually reach mainstream adoption, the IP has to expand beyond the echo chamber of crypto, while ownership gives collectors access to the inner circle of a brand with exclusive perks and experiences.

But the bigger question is:

What identity does the brand represent?

That's what interests me about NFTs.

I think "degen" can become way bigger than just crypto culture.

Skaters are degens.
Snowboarders are degens.
BMX riders are degens.

I can honestly see OKDEGEN becoming a rebellious extreme sports brand built around that identity.

The art already has the attitude and personality to live in that world.
