ive always wondered about the sustainability of esports with a playerbase the size of the finals

A lot of games rely on grassroots or authorized 3rd party tournaments to keep their esports scene active, the finals has none of those

i'm not sure if thats a indication the interest not being there, legal work not being in place to support 3rd party events for large organizations, etc but i dont see a long term future where embark can reliably fund a year long circuit annually to keep their competitive players active and with the opportunity to earn money

ok so lets address these things

1: ive not streamed for 3 days, been playing the game every day and my opinion still remains the same and would remain the same if i didn't stream at all

2: ive not had contact with a single developer or staff at bulkhead ever in any capacity

glad we can clear those things up

I'd love to see a change to the main game mode in @WARDOGS that makes it so when a team hits 80 score, that team isn't allowed to call the Hot Zone via drill/tower codes anymore and it forces them to leave their base to finish out the game.

As base building progresses, a lot of games are coming down to people sitting in their bases mortaring and having someone spam the drill before the other team can to try to get the final pull to their zone, creating a unwinnable situation for the other two teams from either the hot zone moving too fast, being stuck in a firefight while the hot zone moves, or some other reason. Having every team need to push out and fight for the final few points of the game would be so much more dynamic than the loop that currently exists.

Could this be something that we could have a option to turn on/off in community servers? Would be great to be able to use those as testing beds for these types of things.
