Kander: There is a reason they want to talk about Fauci so badly right now. And that reason was the Epstein files. Well, it's two things if I'm being, if I'm being totally honest:

One is, they're just not doing very well politically, and this is something that can get their base charged up again because their base is pretty upset, and this gets us to the second reason — their base is extremely upset at what a terrible job they're doing, but specifically, they're really mad about the war in Iran.

One of the big reasons that the base was pushing for Trump is they said, "No new wars. No new forever wars. No new wars in the Middle East." And the base of the Democratic Party and the base of the Republican Party are really united on something right now, and that is they think that the war in Iran is the one of the stupidest things that a President has done in a really long time.

And so, this is something where they can say, "Hey, remember how we all got together in the first place over COVID?" It's sort of like in a marriage that's failing, "Ah, you remember our honeymoon?"
