First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 2) #Amalgaverse
(While investigating a seemingly derelict freighter, the away team made up of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Android AI Rommie, and Dr. Rodney McKay encountered a potentially hostile utility unit.)
Rather than retreat or open fire, O'Neill throws a look to Rommie: "You got this?".
"Leave it to me,"she replies. Rommie shuts her eyes and reaches out to the machine, feeling along its control channels for a way in. She works past one dead protocol after another, hunting the handshake that will give her control. Then, she’s inside. Her expression sharpens. The unit responds, shuddering, its amber eye dimming, servos winding down. The heavy frame stumbles forward one last uneven step before its knees buckle and it collapses to the deck in a heap.
The ship falls silent. A beat to take stock, then you pick your way past the downed bot and down the corridor to a sealed door.
A hazard indicator flashes back at you. Rommie confirms what it means: the section beyond has been breached, and is open to vacuum. It’s also the direct path to the bridge and the ebbing power source. Any way around costs time, and that containment field is fading.
“I can seal this compartment behind us, then open the door to the breached section,”offers Rommie. “Once that happens, the air in here rushes out, along with anything not secured. You'll be fine in your EV suits." Then, reading McKay's reluctance, she reminds him: "It’s the most direct route forward."
What do you do?
A. Seal up and cross into the breached section.
B. Leave it sealed and find another way around, however long that takes.

First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 1) #Amalgaverse
An away team made up of Colonel Jack O'Neill, Doctor Daniel Jackson, Doctor Rodney McKay, and the android/AI Rommie has been dispatched to investigate a derelict freighter. After parking the puddle jumper in the ship's hangar, the team discovers that the bay doors are jammed open to space, forcing a call on how to proceed. They follow Jack's call.
The away team seals their helmets and exits into the airless bay. O’Neill cloaks their ride (just in case) and leads them to the interior airlock. Once it's sealed behind them, McKay triggers repressurization. Air floods in and fogs on contact, vapor boiling off the frozen walls. A breathable foothold at last.
The pressure hatch ahead unseals into a corridor running through the freighter’s underbelly, an industrial sub-level, narrow and dank, pipes sweating and venting coolant into the dark.
“I think I’ve seen this movie,”notes O’Neill to no one in particular. “It doesn’t end well for Samuel L. Jackson." Then, throwing a look to the others: “So where to?”
Rommie wants control before anything else. Waste no time in going straight to the bridge where they can immediately confirm that every breach is sealed and the entire ship secured before committing to anything deeper. The methodical call, it puts the freighter’s systems in their hands.
Daniel motions to his brand spanking new Starfleet-issued tricorder. A single faint contact flickers somewhere ahead - which should be impossible on a ship this dead. "Someone may be alive down here,”he says. "We have to investigate."
“SomeONE or someTHING?”counters McKay who is wholly focused on his own tricorder, and another reading. The whole ship scans dark but for one compartment, still bleeding the last of a dying reserve to hold a localized containment field. When that power fails, the field fails, and whatever’s inside likely with it. He wants a look before that happens. “And it’s on the way,”he sells it. “Just a tiny detour; a slight delay."

First Mission: The Ghost Ship (Part 1) #Amalgaverse
You've decided to investigate a seemingly derelict freighter broadcasting an emergency beacon.
O’Neill shuttles the rest of the away team - Daniel Jackson, Rommie, and Rodney McKay - to the ghost ship, threading the jumper into the open bay and setting down inside. “Just like riding a bike,”he says with some satisfaction. “A twenty-six-foot-long, fifteen-and-a-half-foot-wide bike with forward-mounted drone launchers and a cloak.”
But you quickly realize there’s a problem. The hangar doors are jammed open to space, and won’t cycle shut. What’s your next move?
Rommie suggests forcing the doors shut manually. Her android frame handles extended vacuum without a problem, so she can just walk out and crank them closed by hand. It’s slow and exposed, but the sure fix. “The catch isn’t the vacuum,”she adds. “It’s the anomaly. Those energy pulses hit while I’m out there, and they could knock me offline before the job’s done." And then, catching Daniel staring: “What?” Daniel pops his eyebrows, considering: “Nothing. You just remind me of someone."
McKay pitches running a hard line from the jumper to the dead servos. It will power the doors shut, but potentially bleed some of the jumper’s reserves. “Potentially?”asks O’Neill. “Potentially - possible,”he non-commits. “More or less. Ish."
O’Neill considers just leaving the bay open and heading in directly through the interior airlock given they’re already wearing EV suits. "We're dressed for the occasion." It’s the fastest way in, but their ride ends up parked inside an airless bay, so any retreat means crossing vacuum again.

@BaronDestructo I trust Scotty and if he works with Data to ensure the away team is safe beaming over, I feel that’s the most reliable option and reduces the chance of eventualities occurring traveling across the derelict ship.
Choose your first #Amalgaverse mission!
Captain's Log - Stargate Unknown: I have commanded starships through Klingon ambushes, Romulan incursions across the Neutral Zone, and temporal anomalies that would unsettle lesser officers, but none of it prepared me for this. The Enterprise-D has been refitted, re-crewed with the finest officers from across multiple realities, and given a new mission: explore this strange new universe, and find a way to get everyone home.
The hum of the warp core fades as the Enterprise-D drops out of warp, and the star field ahead resolves from streaking lights into cold, fixed points. Ops reports four near-simultaneous contacts within the first ninety seconds of arrival.
CONTACT ONE - A subspace signal, heavily degraded, cycling on the Federation emergency frequency but fragmented beyond standard universal translation resolution. It's coming from bearing 227 mark 14, approximately 350,000 kilometers off the port bow. Long-range sensors confirm vessel drifting cold - no running lights, no drive signature, no signs of life. (The Ghost Ship)
CONTACT TWO - A scrambled tight-beam transmission interception by the communications array, passing through this sector on an encrypted Ferengi commercial channel. Ops has partially decoded the manifest: a shadow auction for Artifact Omicron-8, provenance heavily redacted. Its appended energy signature matches no commercial technology on record. It reads, partially and imperfectly, like an illicit subspace weapon outlawed under the Khitomer Accords. (The Heist)
CONTACT THREE - Starfleet priority channel, addressed directly to Captain Kirk. Locate and extract Harven Zax, a dangerous intelligence broker, currently aboard a disabled Vespian cruiser at coordinates 188 mark 44, and deliver him to a rendezvous point at the edge of the Expanse within seventy-two hours. He is wanted, arguably, dead or alive, by three different groups: the Romulans, the Orion Syndicate, and a Klingon Great House. (The Delivery)
CONTACT FOUR - A lateral sensor sweep reports a complete absence of subspace comm traffic from Kirin Station Outpost Gamma-3, a Federation research installation on the Expanse's rim. Gamma-3 has a crew of twenty-three and files automated status reports every four hours. The last confirmed report is sixty-three hours old. The station's emergency beacon is not active. There is no debris field. Simply... silence. (The Fracture)

The #Amalgaverse begins!
You’re just finishing up lunch, considering that last cookie on the counter when, suddenly, you are assailed by a blinding flash.
Vertigo. Pitch blackness. A few seconds of incoherence.
Then, when you awaken, you find yourself transported to an alternate universe, a far future where the Federation, Galactic Empire, Earth Alliance, Twelve Colonies, and many other factions vie for power.
An elite ship is commissioned and an equally elite crew formed, comprised of the very best of myriad realities, every one of them stranded - like you - in this amalgam setting. Their mission: to explore this strange new multi-universe, to seek out new clues and answers to their cosmic quandary, to boldly go - and figure out a way for everyone to get back home.
19 incredible crew members. And...you! Yes, you have been chosen as the all-important 20th member due to your encyclopedic knowledge of these multiple realities. Back on your Earth, they are mere fiction, beloved television shows, but here (and back in their realities), they are real. And YOU possess the knowledge that unites them!
So your first choice is this. Do you set your phasers, zats, force lances, and Peacekeeper pulse pistols to fun and join the Alt. Enterprise-D and its crew on their maiden voyage?
