@forduk @CreakycrankAdam Yes, buy from another manufacturer. Ford’s wiring looms aren’t designed to last the life of the vehicle (unlike every other manufacturer) They are classed as a consumable like oil and tyres. #forddontcare #fordranger

@Ali_Ives77 @forduk I wish you luck with that! I was without my Ranger for about 6 weeks whilst they deliberated over whether to charge me the full £7k for a new engine I was told it needed - due to a well documented part failure. A new Engine wasn’t even required as it turns out!

@forduk Anyone thinking of buying a Ford - bare in mind that their wiring looms are not designed to last the life of the vehicle, quite odd as I’ve never had replace one before. You will be charged for a new loom, despite religiously sticking to a full main dealer service schedule.

@forduk Ford will also tell you that you need a new engine at £9k without even taking your old apart. The same engine in my 2018 3.2 Ranger that was condemned by a Ford main dealer is still driving without fault after actually diagnosing the problem as a faulty EGR cooler.

Hey @forduk and @HaynesFord Good news, that new engine you said my Ford Ranger needed, that would have cost me thousands to have fitted, wasn’t actually required! All that was needed to fix was a £300 EGR cooler. How about that! Shocking misdiagnosis #partsfitters #notmechanics

@forduk and @HaynesFord £135 to conclude that a perfectly good engine was scrap. The original engine, the one you refused to fix, has done 1000 faultless miles since repair last week. No head gasket failure. I would have been ripped off £6-9k for something I didn’t need #bad

@forduk why does my 3 year old Ranger Wildtrak with full main dealer SH need a new engine? Would that be because of the known and documented fault with the EGR cooler? Nearly a month without it awaiting a good will gesture, now offered, still leaves me £6k down… #avoidfordranger

@forduk Why have I been told that my 2018 Ranger needs a new HG, but it can’t be repaired as they fail soon afterwards??? I’m awaiting a decision by Ford towards a ‘good will gesture’ for a brand new engine, This can take up to two weeks? How can I go to work without my truck?
