The heat is probably part of the numbers challenge (3 days with heat index over 100), but pandemic definitely affected participation. With that said, I have no doubt RAGBRAI will recover! #RAGBRAI2021

This post-Covid RAGBRAI was a little bizarre with much lower number of riders. Many teams reported HALF their typical size, but everyone was way down. We enjoyed no lines, uncrowded towns and open roads.
