There are currently 838 wildfires burning across Canada. More than 100 are in northwestern Ontario, sending thick smoke to the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S.
A pilot flying over Thunder Bay, Ontario, captured striking aerial footage that shows massive pyrocumulus clouds, a towering fire cloud formed by extreme convective updrafts. Over 130 active wildfires are currently burning, with more than 60 uncontained in Canada and Minnesota.
