Today marks one year since I was arrested outside of the courthouse after 13 days of protesting over the assault of Dalia Kafi by Calgary Police officer Alex Dunn.
Alex is still employed.
Dalia has since passed.
And I have a 5-day trial for 7 charges.
Here at Edmonton’s Sacred Heart of the First Peoples Church where @Pontifex will visit Monday. Streets are blocked off & stationed with police. This area is usually filled with homeless people, most of them Indigenous, but it’s been cleared out…
@calgarytransit I’m luckily fine, but it was VERY close, one step away, other pedestrians were also very concerned. Thanks for taking the report, I hope it helps.
Sean Chu was sworn in again one month ago. In that time, we paid him ~$9400 to lie, make his colleagues uncomfortable, and distract from important city business because he won’t do the right thing. Time to #ResignSeanChu. #ResignChu
