Today we kicked off the La Vergne Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, and it was great to see so many young readers and families excited about learning this summer.

Our library continues to be one of the true cornerstones of our community—not just as a place for books, but as a hub for education, creativity, and connection. Programs like this help keep our students engaged, curious, and growing even when school is out.

I want to give a special thank you to Ms. Donna and her entire team for the incredible work they do day in and day out. Their dedication, energy, and commitment to serving our residents—especially our children—does not go unnoticed. They consistently go above and beyond to create meaningful opportunities for our community.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to stop by the library this summer and take part in everything they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed.

This joint operation is a clear example of what happens when agencies collaborate, share intelligence, and stay focused on protecting our communities. Criminal activity doesn’t recognize city boundaries—and neither does our commitment to public safety.

I’m grateful for the dedication of the men and women who work every day to remove dangerous narcotics from our streets and hold offenders accountable. Their efforts help protect families, strengthen neighborhoods, and keep La Vergne a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

We will continue to support strong partnerships and proactive policing efforts that make a real difference.
