@LVGIF Forthly, you can be kinder with your choice of words and tone for you are not working in TNGD, have no context or know how the campaign name came about, not fully aware the advertising rules and regulation in placed to safeguard our national language.
@LVGIF Forthly, creative word play is not new in marketing or advertising. RFID Tag Itik and RFID Tag Bebek, the later does sound more fun and cuter, I think.
@LVGIF Thirdly, not sure how far this particular campaign goes, but if it's on billboards and similar format advertising, the ads must be submitted to Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka for review and approval prior airing. If DBP has approved it, there should be no reason to use the word.
@LVGIF Secondly, as mentioned by one of the replies, bebek is a word for itik as recognized by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka in the 4th edition of Kamus Dewan.
@LVGIF Jumping in because I am an employee of Zeno.
First thing, TNGD has taken all marketing efforts and responsibilities in house, and most of the agencies listed in your screenshot are unlikely the current agencies working with TNGD now.
