13 years ago today, 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the community of Yarnell during the Yarnell Hill Fire.

45 members from AZTF-1 have deployed to the east coast to assist with rescue and recovery efforts in the affected areas. FEMA made the request earlier this morning and the team departed this afternoon as part of a Type 3 response.
