As India prepares to introduce new FCRA regulations to tighten oversight of foreign funding despite both internal and external pressure, the U.S. has announced a Major POLICY SHIFT. 🚨
The U.S. government says foreign aid will now be provided directly to national governments, rather than routed through NGOs.
"If the goal is to help a country, fund the country- not middlemen who turn aid into a business model or a vehicle for ideology."
Glasgow 2026 just concluded yesterday.
A slew of medals & a fourth place overall finish for India.
But of everything from these games, two stories touched me deeply.
A judoka whose father fixed cycles for ₹300 a day, in a mud house, & didn’t live to see his daughter become the first Indian, man or woman, to win Commonwealth Games judo gold.
And a farmer’s son from an Aligarh village who ran on dirt trails just to pass the Army fitness test, & last week became the first Indian ever to win two track medals at a single Games.
Asmita Dey. Gulveer Singh.
No shortcuts, no head starts.
Just hunger & the refusal to stay where they started.
This is what ‘Rise’ actually looks like.
A mud house & a village trail.
No words would be enough to explain why they inspire me.

Sivasagar is the worst-hit district in Assam right now.
It’s not getting a relief camp from us. It’s getting adopted- the entire district.
@Hemkunt_Fdn is already on the ground, seva running 24/7, for as long as it takes.
We’re not leaving until Sivasagar is back on its feet.

If people from reserved categories are now reaching India’s highest constitutional and judicial offices, shouldn’t we review whether reservation is still serving its original purpose?
Should reservation now be abolished or limited to those who are financially weak, regardless of caste?
Poverty does not see caste. Why should poor and deserving students lose opportunities because of vote-bank politics? Every hardworking student deserves equal opportunity.
#ReservationDebate #EqualOpportunity #Merit
First time I've seen someone speak so openly and aggressively against the caste-based reservation system on live television. Well done boy.
Will Abhijit Dipke raise this issue too? He claims to be fighting for students and this is a student issue as well. But he won't, because he doesn't actually care about students.
Meet Maitrai Maka, who graduated as batch topper in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from IIT Kharagpur in 2017, and started building autonomous ships and submarines before he'd even left campus behind.
He founded Rekise Marine that same year out of Bengaluru, alongside Rear Admiral Shekhar Mital (Retd), betting that future maritime power would run on low cost autonomous systems instead of massive manned fleets. No hype cycle backed him. Defence tech in India barely had a seed-stage playbook back then ye he built anyway.
Rekise designed the vessel, its sensors, and its software as one integrated system rather than bolting pieces together later, working in-house with shipyards like Goa Shipyard Limited and GRSE Limited. Two vessels, Jaldoot and Swadheen, were already delivered and had completed fully autonomous open sea trials.
In June 2026, 9 years into building, that groundwork pulled in $9.7 million in seed funding, co-led by Accel and Nikhil Kamath's NKSquared. The capital now funds Jalkapi, an 11-metre, 20-tonne autonomous submarine built for missions lasting up to 45 days.
Reliable autonomy at sea starts with refusing to separate the hardware from the intelligence.
Karl Marx never talked about skills. For him, all labor is worth the same.
But you see, of the 11 players in a football team, there’s only one Messi. His productivity and value are way higher than others.

Turns out the judge was not only running the gas agency, his business contract was being renewed all through his tenure as a judge and chief justice.
And all this was happening right under the nose of the Supreme Court, that punished NCERT for a chapter on judicial corruption.
Bikaner University puts Rajasthan's dates on the global map.
In a first for the state, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU) in Bikaner has exported more than 11 tonnes of fresh dates to Bangladesh.
The university maintains a collection of over 54 date palm varieties under the ICAR All India Coordinated Research Project on Arid Fruits.
The consignment consisted mainly of the premium Halawi variety.
The export has generated nearly 10 lakh rupees in revenue for the university and is expected to create new opportunities for date growers across the region.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh says it would have been an honour to serve under an officer like KPS Gill.
He recalls how, during the 1962 Indo-China War, when panic had gripped Tezpur, Assam, and much of the administration had withdrawn, a young police officer, KPS Gill, chose to stay at his post instead of fleeing.
According to Captain Amarinder Singh, K.P.S. Gill saved Punjab by transforming the Punjab Police into an effective counter-insurgency force, restoring public confidence, strengthening intelligence, and relentlessly taking on Khalistani terrorists until militancy was defeated.
Captain Amarinder recalls how dire the situation in Punjab had become during the peak of militancy. Shops and businesses would shut at sunset, people avoided stepping out after evening, police officers themselves feared meeting the public after dark, and large parts of normal life had come to a standstill.
Whatever one's political views, K.P.S. Gill remains one of the most consequential and controversial figures in India's fight against terrorism. His legacy continues to evoke strong opinions, but his role in Punjab's history cannot be ignored.
Khalistan was another version of 90s Taliban in Afghanistan with similar intolerance for non believers, seeing women as cattle and disenfranchising them at every step, haram like hatred for the arts, music etc and control over people's minds with baseless propaganda. Sikhs are happy and healthy without it. Selective amnesia is being fermented not without reason. Everyone should be cautious
The Chamkila movie failed to disclose that the two threatening letters received by Amar Singh Chamkila & Amarjot, were sent by Bhindranwale Tiger Force and Khlistan Liberation Force.
Movie shows anonymous “threatening letters” but refuses to name the actual senders: BTF and KLF. Real witnesses, including songwriter Swaran Sivia, have been clear.
This selective storytelling raises an important question why are some identities explicitly named in films, while others are left vague or omitted altogether? When the narrative involves the Indian state, the police, or Hindu groups, names are often stated openly. But when allegations involve Khlistani extremists, the film chooses ambiguity over specificity?
