El Nueva York isométrico de Andy Coenen es una recreación píxel a píxel de la ciudad de los rascacielos, generada mediante la combinación de varios agentes y herramientas de inteligencia artificial.

Para entender esta maravilla hay que saber que la imagen completa es un entramado de 204.800 × 204.800 píxeles (unos 42 Gpx), divididos en unas 40.000 teselas «cosidas» unas con otras.

Lo que hizo Andy fue trabajar con varios modelos de IA para conseguir primero un resultado geométrico parecido al de las fotografías aéreas, luego renderizarlo, después afinar el estilo gráfico y pixelado y finalmente lograr cierta consistencia de unas imágenes a otras.

Crear tantas imágenes con IA no es barato. Tras probar con Gemini 3, Nano Banana, Claude Opus 4.5, Cursor o Claude Code se decantó finalmente por Qwen/Image-Edit, que podía hacer la tarea, en unas 4 horas y por unos 12 dólares, a partir de imágenes de los mosaicos fotorrealistas Google Maps 3D Tiles.

Todo se ejecutó en una máquina virtual GPU H100 capaz de producir más de 200 generaciones por hora.

En total, todo le costó menos de 3 dólares/hora.

Curiosamente, como suele suceder, el último 10% del trabajo consumió cerca del 90% del tiempo, sobre todo por problemas que aparecieron con el agua y la vegetación.

Financial Data: Full bank IBANs, SEPA contract details, and signing dates.

Infrastructure Information (CUPS): Electricity and gas CUPS codes, detailed physical addresses (street, building number, floor, unit/door number, postal code, and locality).

Operational Details: Activation dates, tariff types, contracted products, and internal notes from the energy provider.

Revolut yields to the pressure; it makes Catalan the default language on its ATMs in Catalonia for its 1.2 million local customers.

Revolut has informed the media that Catalan is now the default language on its cash machines (ATMs) across Catalonia.

The change affects all 57 Revolut ATMs currently operating in the region. Revolut, which has more than 1.2 million clients in Catalonia, will also incorporate Catalan into its website and mobile app during the first half of 2027.

Revolut faced years of public pressure on social media from Catalan users and language organisations. I followed this with interest, and the action culminated in a celebration for supporters when Revolut posted a job ad seeking a Catalan-language translator.

Good win for the local culture, but not easy for Revolut. Every language pack and every local feature added to the Revolut app is present on every user's app. For example, Lithuanian Revolut customers will have the Catalan language pack in the app, and Catalans now have Lithuanian mortgage application and management features, but these features aren't accessible.

Another thing worth mentioning is that for the first time, Revolut has released customer numbers for the region of Catalonia. Based on a simple calculation, Catalonia has a Revolut customer penetration rate of 14.62%. That is higher than Spain's total, at 13%. Catalonia could be the region that has the highest penetration in Spain.
