@Awwwchallllll Why do you want to retain? These are not textbooks. I read a lot of books and I don't read for insights and knowledge. I just enjoy reading. Every book changes you in some way and that change remains with you.
Women feel healthier and happier after the death of their husbands if there are no financial constraints. Erica Krik is not some devilish exceptional case. π
π¨ Indian subcontinent is breaking
New seismic data reveals that Indian subcontinent tectonic plate is moving fast and will break India subcontinent in two parts in the coming years.
According to the study, this region is undergoing a major tectonic shift and is sitting on a major fault line.
This movement is the engine behind the earthquakes you feel in Pakistan and India & the reason the Himalayan mountains are still growing taller.
Seismologists warn that India region is overdue for major release of pressure in the Himalayan arc.
When it eventually slips, it will result in a high-magnitude earthquake, likely above magnitude 9.5 or 12.0.
And this would just be the beginning of a dramatic geographical shift!
@ArtemisConsort Relative poverty is not just about envy; poor people actually pay the price for the rich physically by having different kinds of diseases that are the result of generating more and more wealth.
People donβt betray you out of malice, they betray you out of self-preservation. When survival collides with loyalty, loyalty dies first. Understand this and youβll stop being shocked by human behavior.
@UnmodernmanBot Absolutely. Loyalty lasts only until it costs nothing. The moment it threatens comfort, people choose survival. Human nature in one line. π€
THE COBRA EFFECT
During the British Raj, officials grew concerned about the rising number of venomous cobras in Delhi. To tackle the issue, they introduced a bounty for every dead snake.
At first, the policy seemed successful, many cobras were killed.
But soon, an unintended consequence appeared. Enterprising locals began breeding cobras to claim the reward. Once the government realised this loophole and scrapped the bounty programme, the breeders released their now-worthless snakes.
The result? The cobra population surged to even higher levels than before.
This episode is remembered as the Cobra Effect, a classic example of how well-meaning incentives can backfire, producing the exact opposite of the intended outcome
Utterly idiotic, totally unnecessary and unwarranted gesture. He has nothing to do with that 6-0 scoreline. He failed miserably at his own job while donning the uniform of Pakistan. If he has to learn anything from PAF, it is performance in the field. Moron!
