The novel story of Carrie was about bullying and yes you felt sorry for her but in the end she chose to murder everyone in her path. She just didn’t kill the bullies but even the gym teacher who was on her side. Carrie gave into the evil impulse and used her power to devastate an entire town. That was the horror of the plot. Carrie became the monster her psychopath mom kept telling her she was.

This was not a story about girl power or finding your inner warrior. It is a tragedy.
