@kswindlehurst91@JYHYCN I’m t was not a legal clear out. He lead with the head at head height. He even looks at the player before doing it. The player doesn’t move. No mitigation.
@GlasgowRugby_ I disagree same old scotland. We almost drew with them bar some bounces of the ball and dubious refereeing this could have been a win or a draw.
I think we played credibly well against the best team ever seen in rugby.
@DaRealRyanGrant@glove931 I disagree. Our team matched the boks physicality man for man today. Not many teams can do that and fewer at altitude and in S A.
That wa the most complete Scottish performance I’ve watched in well ever almost.
S A were lucky and they know it.
@TravisNZ_@jimhamilton4 How did it not age well. We arguable challenged and almost beat them bar some baffling refereeing. Lien the “piggyback” before the second try.
@mulcs85@will_owen9 No they weren’t. We were initially all over them and one dubious try. With dubious refereeing. We matched them physically and they got home advantage and refereeing that wa baffling to swing it.
@will_owen9 Honestly need you to calm me down. What’s your take on the South Africa second try “piggybacking” move. I thought it was illegal to hold a player in the air after he receives the ball he has to be immediately brought safely down. Let alone held for ages then carried ?
@broonogomez@glove931 It was illegally collapsed and the maul before hand as well. I’d argue the referee cost us. Hire and simple. It wa the worst refereeing of generally breakdown and wierd “piggyback backing” I’ve ever seen.
@glove931 I’d argue we should have had a penalty try for the maul that wa a”held up “. And the maul before where we were at the 5m line and SA threw themselves in the ground stopping it and came right round the side.
Also sooooo many illegal plays and moves like the “piggyback”.
@seandoc1967@glove931 It is illegal I’ve seen refs penalise it before. Because you have to bring your lifted player down to the ground after he receives the ball.
I’ve seen it given form kick offs often.
@JPEGMacDonald@glove931 It is illegal. Given at line ours and kick receiving. Once your player you’ve lifted received the ball you have to bring him down safely back to the ground. You can’t just hold him there then run forward carrying him. It’s given in the lineout at times when it happens.
@glove931 Tie ways it’s not legal. 1. After catching the ball ina. Lift your not allowed to just stand and hold him there for seconds. Then to literally run forward with him on your shoulders is illegal. Dangerous for your own player and also for us and makes any tackle impossible
@mangorugby No arrogance. Making it up.Every time it was discussed every Scottish pundit and fan said “IF”. “If we get there or if we win”.
We are Scottish sporting fans we never expect or think anything is a given. Even if we are 80-0 up in the 79th minute we all still aren’t positive.
