A call to action from @fnbjacksonville! Join us in demanding a safe solution for our neighbors. Jacksonville must open warming centers TODAY and begin working on real solutions for our unhoused population.
In total, we rounded up and returned 14 salvageable shopping carts. Thanks to the whole crew from @fnbjacksonville who joined us! Our next cleanups will be 12/14 and 12/28—stay tuned. Nominate an area for cleanup at the link in our profile.
Thanks to everyone who came out to our cleanup today! Volunteers from across town hit a canal in need of TLC between the library and the Walmart on 103rd. Our team dug out sunken shopping carts, abandoned traps, and 15 bags of trash.
Y’all! Today is the LAST DAY to register for next week’s FIRST Southern Regional Organizing Conference, hosted here in Jacksonville by the National Alliance Against Racism & Political Repression!
We hope to see you today at 4:30 at James Weldon Johnson Park for the Jax Food Not Bombs weekly Sunday share!
In addition to your participation, our neighbors need clean, warm, adult-sized clothes, supplies for cold weather, and necessities like reading glasses, undies & razors!

Hundreds showed out to the Duval County Courthouse last week to reject despair and embrace action. We have been so excited to meet so many new DSA members and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for our chapter!
Stay tuned!
Thank you to everyone who came out to help clean up Powers Park today! We are so heartened to see so much of our community energized to fight for a better future, despite last week’s results.
Join us this Tuesday and fill out a public comment card to tell the city council that we demand:
- They pass the ceasefire resolution that WE wrote!
- They repeal pro-Israel Resolution 2023-742
- Call for divestment from Israel Bonds in the Jacksonville Police
Let’s meet up at The Walrus tomorrow, Tuesday November 12th, to decompress, recap the election and our Amendment 4 work, and discuss our future organizing under a second Trump administration 🌹
