Manmohan resisted first. Negotiated terms. Got a 6-month waiver. Cut Iran from 10.5% → 7.2% of India’s supply; a 3.3% reduction. Announced it on the floor of Rajya Sabha.

Now compare:

Modi grew Russia from 2% → 35.9% of India’s supply over 3 years.

Then surrendered 100% of that policy in a private phone call.

Announced; not by India’s MEA, but by Trump on Truth Social, before Indian media even knew.

Zero Parliamentary debate. Zero public mandate.

Today Indian refineries need a 30-day US permit to unload oil already floating at sea.

Manmohan got a 180-day waiver to keep buying freely.

Modi gets a 30-day permission slip to collect what he already paid for.

One PM resisted publicly, negotiated smartly, complied minimally, told Parliament everything.

One PM built dependency secretly, profited his allies off the discount, then surrendered everything to protect himself; not India.
