Days ago, I started using my phone for a 90 days Cybersecurity challenge with MyFirstHack as a way of improving as a learner in CS
I started posting daily experience on LinkedIn but I will start here as a thread🚀🚀
#cybersecurity#nomoreexcuse
She is 27 years old 🇳🇬
Her full name is Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam
She spent most of her childhood in Namibia, where she did her secondary education.
Her husband Abula (Abdulaziz Oladimeji) taught her video editing and encouraged her comedy start in 2015
As the last born of 5 children in a Muslim family, she enjoyed full "baby of the house" privileges.
She studied Tourism and Travel Service Management at Kwara State University (not her dream of becoming a doctor or lawyer)
Taaooma shoots 99% of her own videos and edits 100% herself.
She famously plays up to 10 different characters in a single skit, switching seamlessly. (you gotta respect the work ethic.. Phewww 🫡)
Her breakout 2019 skit was about African parents driving kids to school, full of iconic slaps
She also directs for The Greenade Company, a cinematography firm
Got engaged to Abula in Namibia in 2020 and married him in January 2021
In her skits, she often covers her hair as "Iya Tao" (mum character), which she says feels authentic to her. A deep religious and cultural representation 💯
She won Best Online Comedian at The Gage Awards in 2019
Was named in Nigeria's 25 under 25 for social entrepreneurship.
Her comedy was inspired by watching Nigerian stand-up like Basketmouth and Bovi while in Namibia.
She welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Amani Korede Makeda Greene, in late 2024.
Her signature slap comedy has made "Iya Tao" a cultural icon for relatable African parenting moments. Which in all honesty, you and I can pretty much relate to😫
Taaooma announced/launched the Maryam Apaokagi Initiative (MAI) foundation in 2023
She also partnered with Lagos Food Bank for food distribution and outreach to vulnerable women
.
.
.
You see, Taaooma was among the few ladies that broke into the comedy industry in Nigeria.
Before she came on, comedy was sooo male-dominated and the whole attention was on skit makers like Twyse, Crazeclown, Sidney Talker, etc
Apart from Emmanuella, I can't really think of another prominent independent female skit maker. (many of them worked with the guys back then, but weren't really independent on their own)
So what did Taaooma do?
She saw that there was a gap and she could insert herself in there.
Then she used a very major tool.
Relatability.
She further niched down and make the Relatability more specific to the African culture and parenting style.
And that instantly clicked.
.
.
Today I want you to learn something from Taaooma
In your field, I want you to start working round Relatability.
Whether you own a business, or you are a creator, or you are just starting out in that field... Your biggest advantage will be to craft yourself round Relatability.
You have to make your offerings, your contents, etc.... Feel very particular to your target audience.
Let them see themselves and their stories in what you are offering or creating.
.
.
And lastly, you need to work sooooo hard when you've found the right click.
If you don't, you will be outworked by other people.
Taaooma started playing different characters all by herself, and she got very known for it.
Today, look at a lottttt of content creators using the similar idea concept.
And even before Taaooma did, it was Twyse that did it. (I will make a post on Twyse soonnn)
So you can see that nothing lasts forever.
Concepts and ideas will always evolve, and that's why when you've discovered a format that works so well for you, I want you to work super hard at milking that format and making the best out of it, before it evolves again.
.
.
Do something today. Enough of the thinking and planning.
Do something about that concept today today today.
That's how you get moving. That's how you get clarity.
.
.
Thank you very much for reading 🫂

I used to believe this but one protest can change public consciousness without immediately changing who controls political parties, who finances campaigns, who gets nominated and who exercises state power.
I think we may be putting a lot of weight on one single movement.
And when Peter Obi gets into office and performs better than Tinubu, they’ll console themselves by saying he only benefited from what Tinubu did before leaving office. They’ll claim Tinubu carried the burden of over 60 years of mismanagement in under three years 🤡 😂 and that Obi performed better because Tinubu gave him a soft landing.
What they conveniently forget is that the Peter Obi I know won’t spend public money lavishly without accountability. He won’t be buying private jets or new fleets of Prado jeeps for judges while the country is in shambles.
Whatever tactics they come up with, we’ll be here to counter them with facts. We know their playbook, and we’re ready!
A New Nigeria is POssible!
HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER AND FELLOW PARTNER IN SERVICE TO NIGERIA, RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO
As you mark your 70th birthday on October 21, I honour not only an accomplished public servant but also a very dear elder brother and partner whose life has been dedicated to serving our people.
With the passage of time, I have come to deeply appreciate the bond between us, the many conversations we have shared, and the common commitment to Nigeria that continues to shape our service. Your path through the legislature, the Federal Executive Council, the governorship of Kano State, and national public life represents decades of experience, duty, and meaningful engagement with the Nigerian people.
Turning seventy is not merely a significant milestone; it is a moment to look back with gratitude on a life devoted to service, the wisdom gained through experience, and the opportunities that remain ahead.
As we continue to hope for and work toward a better Nigeria, I remain grateful for our partnership and for our shared conviction that our nation can become a place where no child is deprived of opportunity, no family is left in poverty, and every Nigerian can live with dignity, security, and hope.
My dear brother, may God bless you with renewed strength, good health, wisdom, and many more productive years. May the years ahead be filled with peace, fulfilment, and the satisfaction of seeing the values we cherish take firmer root across our nation.
Warmest congratulations on your 70th birthday, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso @KwankwasoRM . I honour you on this special occasion and pray that the chapter ahead will be filled with abundant blessings and many more purposeful years. -PO
@YourboyChii Reminds me of when I was drinking garri back to back in 200Lvl , people will see me and say I'm glowing
They didn't know I was passing through a dark time in life😭💔
@duragbot Remembered when I did page boy for my unc wedding in pry 4 2014. I got money that day but my mum didn't want me spending it
Secretly took it to school, had to send a boy who doesn't bring food to help buy me #20 doughnut cos our sch was very strict
Mind you I brought #200
It is good to attend T30, NSPPDD and Hallelujah challenge but I hope you know these are not substitute for your personal devotion.
Read your Bible, pray everyday is still the way to grow not by attending meetings alone it adds up but your personal devotion is more important.
20.10.20.
A date that is forever etched in our national conscience.
#EndSARS. #LekkiMassacre.
A sad night six years ago.
Their voices mattered so they used it.
Their young lives mattered, yet they laid them down.
Today, we remember the lives lost, the pain of survivors, and the young Nigerians whose sin against their government was to ask for safety, dignity and an end to police brutality.
They will always be remembered because their supreme sacrifices are unforgettable.
May our remembrance remain a demand for truth, justice and accountability.
We will not forget. 🇳🇬

For a game to retain players, it has to keep giving them something to do, something to achieve or something to look forward to.
I think this is where Lagos Life is struggling. The original challenge was to start from nothing, work your way up and build wealth. Unfortunately, hackers flooded the economy with money and ruined that experience. People became billionaires overnight, and before the game could properly develop, many players had already achieved everything there was to achieve.
So rn what’s left to really do ?
I think the focus now should be on making the game more interactive. Give people reasons to actually visit and use the things they’ve acquired. Let clubs play updated music and have hypemen sounds, let gyms offer fitness routines and challenges, let churches and mosques have daily messages, sermons and audio. Even businesses could have activities that require some level of participation beyond just collecting weekly income.
There should also be new challenges and achievements that money alone cannot buy. That way, even the richest players still have something to work towards.
Now, I understand there may be technical limitations, but the good thing is that Lagos Life already has a name and a community. That’s something many developers struggle to build from scratch. The devs should take their time, improve the actual gameplay and eventually build a proper mobile version.
At this point, people don’t need more ways to make money in Lagos Life. They need more reasons to spend time there.
