This week our youth volunteers went over branch techniques, pump operation and door procedures when in fire compartments

Though this page has been quiet, our youth volunteers haven't been!

Over the past few weeks we have being studying breathing apparatus procedures which of course goes hand in hand with branch techniques!

After all you can't fight fire with fire so learning how to use the 1/2

It's been great fun helping with this over the past 3 days. The college and helpers have been great and of course all the pupils have been smashing it 👍

Day 2 of this week’s #SDGTeachIn, school pupils took part in some fun and exciting exercises with Livingston’s Scottish Fire and Rescue (SFRS) and the college’s Uniformed Public Service students. 🚒

And after working over the festive period our 18 off has began. What a set that has been 🙂had some great community events spreading festive cheer.

It's not been all hard work though with a watch Xmas night out and meeting up with india squad to catch up.

2023 has come to an end and what a year it was, January I walked onto Kirkcaldy blue watch working with some great people.

We went on our first family holiday.

My oldest started school, my middle child started nursery

A massive thank you to everybody who helped put a meal on for the people of West Lothian. From the food to the entertainment to the laughter… what an amazing day to share just before Christmas. From all at Livingston FS we wish you all a safe and Merry Xmas 🎄

Had same free time so practiced setting up as an abseiler, always good to get faster at the skills but also keeping a good and safe standard at the same time. Even did a were practice of tieing of the bags for the climb back up

Today was the works Christmas party for the kids

the boys on shift and the ones who came in to help set up were outstanding. Kids had an absolute ball

Today marks #ArmisticeDay.

A day to reflect on the sacrifices made by all those who died during two World Wars and subsequent conflicts.

SFRS staff will join the country at 11am to pay our respects to all those who lost their lives.
