In 2021 after covid, I was so broke I sold my twitter account at 9k followers for 4k, FOUR THOUSAND NAIRA. Today if I count the amount of subscriptions I get debited every month alone, I no fit shout. Money go come, just no die.
@ManshakLawson@EeevaJames Very few people are willing to work and build anything long term these days, most people just want immediate cash to spend before hustling for the next one and to be honest, a part of me understands them.
I think we all should normalize genuine partnerships in business.
We will hardly have that breakthrough as an island (individuals) . The system is rigged to keep us as struggling SMEs.
No financial institution is giving entrepreneurs credit at single digit interest rate.
Just few mentors are out there, willing to share.
Why don't we draw up resource together into a pool?
Give out some stakes in our businesses in exchange for solid cash to scale!
Get lawyers draft documents and have everyone sign and be tired to such MoU.
Let's all grow together....
If you are from a poor home, and you start making it, take care of your parents first before anyone. I have one spiritual believe that the more you take care of your parents, the more God blesses you.
optimism is honestly just a cheat code. the guy who walks into uncertainty with a grin, takes the risk, talks to whoever's around, and trusts it'll work out usually ends up right. not because he's special, just because he kept going while everyone else was stuck in their head.
when Michelle said Barack has “stubborn optimism” I realized I also really want that in a partner. Somebody who isn’t moved by life’s shortcomings but ALWAYS sees the light at the end of the tunnel. That’s a true leader, not just of a country but a household. what a legacy.
The $1M conversation on Nigerian Twitter is funny because the first thing you should do when you come into money in bulk is to leave it. Pretend it doesn't exist for at least 3 months. Never jump into investing in anything you don't know very well. I am talking from experience.
