Assistant Football Coaches Hint that it's April Fool’s Day 1) Every assistant Opened his locker and found a $100 bill and thank u note from the AD 2) Ass’t coaches wife asked him “Honey, is there anyway you can work longer hours?” 3) His backup QB’s parents called and told him he made the right decision making “Johnny” the starter and their son the backup 4) All the receivers came in and asked if they could do the 3 on 1 “slaughter the wideouts” drill everyday next week( u know the SEMO drill) 5) The OL signed a petition and requested every team period have 10 straight required drop back passes versus cover zero blitzes 6) The Defensive coordinator asked the OC for all empty sets in inside run period 7) The DL coach asked for more “throat punches” to his DL in pass pro period 8) The QB asked for live blitz pickup during 7 on 7 9) The OC requested the defense practice their “Drop 9” coverage during 7 on 7) 10) The OC requested all of the third down situational periods be third and 12 or longer for the rest of spring 11) The Receivers all asked for 7 on 7 to be a full contact live period 12) The Special Teams coordinator volunteered to reduce his periods because he had to many practice reps 13) The head coach came by every assistants office and said “Thank u for your hard work…I genuinely appreciate and respect you…Is there anything I can do for u and your family to make life better?…And then of course a big laugh and “APRIL FOOLS!!

I’m on record saying i feel partly responsible for the fall of Tennessee football. I was a captain on the 08 team that got Fulmer fired. Since we’ve watched bad football and bad coaching for 10+ years. 2024 Tim banks lead a NATIONALLY top 10 def. A staff I’m proud to say i was apart of. 2022 Heup took this program to 11 wins. 1st time since 2001. A playoff appearance in 2024. 1st ever. All while on probation cause of past coaches. To hear people saying that’s not good enough is INSANE! Comparing Josh to a coach that just got fired. INSANE 🤦🏾‍♂️ Remember where we came from. We can be grateful for what we have while wanting championships. VFL 🧡🍊
