Let not the name of Christ be used for hatred,
nor the Cross turned into a banner of pride.
Remember, O Lord, those who blaspheme through ignorance;
enlighten their hearts and lead them to repentance.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us.
Amen. ☦️
@CorpseKings I don't run many dungeons anymore, but whenever I do....you can count on a gelatinous cube being in there. So much so that my players have ranked it #1 on their list of "DM Jayce's Greatest Hits" above the mimic (#2) and the carrion crawler (#3). They made a full top 10. 😅
Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 books, had this to say about home libraries:
“It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones.
“There are things in life that we need to always have plenty of supplies, even if we will only use a small portion.
“If, for example, we consider books as medicine, we understand that it is good to have many at home rather than a few: when you want to feel better, then you go to the ‘medicine closet’ and choose a book. Not a random one, but the right book for that moment. That’s why you should always have a nutrition choice!
“Those who buy only one book, read only that one and then get rid of it. They simply apply the consumer mentality to books, that is, they consider them a consumer product, a good. Those who love books know that a book is anything but a commodity.”
Imagine it's 1999 and Chris Avellone is doing press for Planescape: Torment. Imagine he does an interview and says "Actually, this game isn't for Planescape Fans. It's not for D&D fans at all. I don't make games for Chuds". That's what the last decade has been like. It's insane.
Russia wasn't broken by the Americans, or NATO, or even by Ukraine. It was broken by @KremlinRussia and people like his little chihuahua, @MedvedevRussia
The only business doing well in russia is funeral services. Cemeteries are at full capacity.
Moreover, for four consecutive months this year, russia has fallen short of its mobilization targets, fulfilling only 60–75% of the plan.
@PixelCNinja That looks INCREDIBLE. That looks like the kinda game where after you finish it, you need a cigarette before you turn over and go to sleep. And I don't even smoke!
@KevinLamb74 I miss the days when full-sized paintings were commissioned to grace the covers of D&D books. Elmore, Caldwell, Easley, Parkinson - the best of the best.
I discovered Record of Lodoss War in the early 2020s, but as a fan of 80s and 90s fantasy and D&D it is a treasure trove of references. Lots of BECMI and Dragonlance in there in particular, including references to the art of the great Clyde Caldwell.
@MikePerryArt My favourite draconian subrace. Natural sorcerers, kind of the spiritual elite among the draconians. They make great mini-bosses/lieutenants at lower levels. I always loved that Kang of Teyr, the first draconian ruler on Krynn, was a bozak.
@SjoerdJdegroot@Andreas_Adam@AugustaAndarta@g900ap Fascist sympathizers wearing red are still fascist sympathizers. I'm all for punching fascists again. Please have you and your buddies line up, and present your jaws.
@SjoerdJdegroot@Andreas_Adam@AugustaAndarta@g900ap You described the USSR.
Even 35 years after USSR collapsed we still have useful idiots in the Netherlands. It's an impressive amount of idiocy that lasts that long untended to.
@Eye_C_U_Smith You pray for God to punish him because his loyalty is to his principals and not your false prophet, Trump? You're in a cult. You've cut yourself off from God by worshipping a man.
