I asked New England Revolution head coach Marko Mitrović to comment on Jayden Da making his MLS debut:
“Jayden, we know that he is coming from a long break because he had the ACL injury and didn’t play for a year. He started his preseason with the second team and we watched a couple of games with the second team and took him to practice with us. In this situation where Leo [Campana] was out and we were chasing [a goal], we had that plan that if we were down and chasing, for Jayden to come in. Listen, it’s his MLS debut and he’s coming to play after one year not playing soccer. I would say I always believe in the guys when they’re on the field, but if they don’t execute things, well, we always also have to be realistic. Not playing for a year and then coming to [make] your MLS debut, it’s not easy. But we’re looking forward to working with Jayden, learning more, and seeing what we can get from him in the future.”

I asked Revolution forward Jayden Da to comment on making his MLS debut for New England:
“First, I'd like to thank god, obviously, it wasn't a result we all wanted, obviously. But I think there's a lot of improvements from that, and this club has showed a lot of trust in me.”
“Like you know, last year, I didn't get to play a full season, and just for the small amount of time they saw me play, they gave me a chance. So I kind of, like, owe it to myself to, like, give that back to them.”

I asked Revolution forward Jayden Da to comment on what it was like to recover from his ACL injury & to finally be back to playing again:
“Yeah, I mean, I kind of had to ask myself; ‘’Is this how you want your career to end?’’Like I’ve said, that’s the easy way out. You know, you get hurt, you could easily just be like, Okay, that's it. But no, I don't think that defines my character as a player, as who I am, and know I'm grateful to be able to play again and help this team get some wins, ultimately.”

✍️ Revs II sign forward Jayden Da to a 1-year deal
Da, 22, spent the 2024 season with @ColumbusCrew2 (Capys) where he had 7 goals and 4 assists.
Savvy move from Revs II in my opinion.
A new signing has entered the chat… 🤩
Revs II has signed Boston-born forward Jayden Da to a one-year pro contract for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.
Welcome (back) to New England, Jayden! ❤️💙
