@redraiderman1 Yes and you've clearly never won anything big in your life that had substantial challenges. He's in year 3 of his career. Leading a team that's average age is younger than most NCAA teams. Now he's gonna cry when they lose to the Knicks but that's another story
@RushRicketson@denk_tweets@beehiiv Definitely, also I've advised newer candidates to basically identify a person/platform who has the voice that most they most identify with or want to replicate and use it as the base then go in and audit accordingly. Still more manual than this but helps close the gap
@lawyer4SMBs If the seller is represented to me this is a sign of a poor banker. Good bankers spend the time up front to get little things sorted out so they can eliminate this type of headache. What I'm seeing is bankers slapping together CIMs and then going to market.
@lawyer4SMBs Lawn guy is no diff than a waiter, barber, etc. We've just been socialized to treat them differently. I would say what's the difference between trimming your hair and trimming your lawn? But you actually have more cost baked into your haircuts (fuel, travel time, etc) than lawn
@BoringBiz_ Have him talk to as many men he respects that are 65 and older. A lot of them wish they could spend time in places where they didn't. Also challenge him to find something where some balance sits, bankers/PE,Consultants think in a box. There's opportunity out there.
@Attorney_CPA@Eli_Albrecht Having worked at Tier 1 and 2 IBs and now doing my own PE deals. I'm quite familiar with LOI terms and structures. I can't say I've ever seen a 2 year exclusivity and definitely not standard. I would love to know what seller is signing those.
@Eli_Albrecht If you're investor is a fund capable or comfortable with having control then they'll squeeze you for more of the fee. Compelling passive lp like a family office type. They'll be more friendly. Also track record.
@Eli_Albrecht It's all about value that you create and investor type. If you're a guy just putting together deals you're gonna get squeezed. If you're a true value creator and subject/operating expert you're more valued.
