@justjoenyc@JackMac I’ve lived there for many years, also in LA for years. Don’t be like LA, this stuff has ruined the city and energy of the people. Hope common sense humans can make a change and correct this stuff.
Remove him. Force it. Not up to him. Clean the streets up, force it. I understand you have soft laws for everyone, but let’s change it and force change.
People don’t know what they want and need to be lead or pushed toward a new life. Whether it’s drugs, mental health, a disability, or anything else, pick him up and put him wherever can help.
@adater Most were rooting against New York. It’s always been the evil empire and dystopian city.
Probably sealed the deal when their fans beat people up and harassed them for wearing the opposing teams jersey.
Just being real…
@petermlaffin Most Americans root against New York. I wouldn’t call New York part of America these days, probably winning more people over seeing the people have a humility sandwich.
@herreraevel That mentality doesn’t work in M&A. No deal is fast. Lived in NYC for way too long. Enjoy, February comes every year and there is more to life. Don’t step in the poop on the streets. ✌️
- go for a run
- drink coffee on the beach walk with a friend
- check out the sandcastles
- a few online meetings
- a board meeting on a surfboard, not a corporate prison cell
- meet a group of friends for dinner
- golden hour
- 68-75 degrees 365 days a year
- visit NY when you need to speed up your mitochondria to die

@ArielEpstein “Hey bro, how much money do you have?”
“Lots bro, I do private equity”
“Cool, bro, what deals you working on.”
“Lots bro.”
Girl walks up, first statement or question:
“What do you do for work?”
Bros love it there.
You can’t. You can teach the fundamentals of serving a pain point, but the biggest P in the 4 Ps of investing in a startup is People.
There is a dna and mentality. Can’t teach it, it’s learned and inherited through life experiences and nature.
Wrote a book about it (Simon & Schuster), studies it in an Ivy, invested in it, and know it can’t be taught.
This dude is a micro VC play that will fail after a few years. All fluff.
On the contrary, we look at their education and ask why they focus on quant mentality, facial recognition in the classroom, and herd mentality.
Let’s not throw sticks at our country and be fair stewards of the cultural and governance differences.
Lots of parents support teachers, pull data on PTAs across the country and districts that are basic aid.
@JakeBrownLive Perhaps don’t beat people up for wearing the opposing teams jersey? That might help bring confidence that security isn’t needed. Just sayin
