On April 3, 2004, 23-year-old Alonzo Brooks vanished after attending a party near La Cygne, Kansas.

Separated from his friends, he never returned home. His concerned family reported him missing, but searches by the Linn County Sheriff’s Department were unsuccessful.

Nearly a month later, on May 1, 2004, Alonzo’s family organized their own search with about 50 volunteers and found his body hidden in a creek.

The autopsy couldn't determine the cause of death, deepening the mystery. But his death was later ruled a homicide.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the individual or individuals that may be responsible for Alonzo Brooks’ death.
