@reece1204 @ElectionMapsUK It's the majority over all the other parties, rather than the number of seats they have over the threshold.
If a party has 352 seats, the other parties must have the other 298 seats, so their majority is 54 :)
@alelliott88 I remember seeing an advert for the Durham Miners' Gala a few years ago and it mentioned "marras" in there. So the word probably came from the coal miners.
@alelliott88@berd555@BpdLion I voted Green at the last GE. I figured Labour were a shoe-in, so I didn't feel like I had to vote "against" the Tories and could comfortably vote "for" whoever aligned closest with my beliefs.
Unfortunately, the Greens have no chance in a region so tied to nuclear.
@alelliott88 I give my gf a Nazi salute every night. It's what I, as an autistic socialist, feel is the most appropriate way to express my feelings towards her in a way that is impossible to be misconstrued.
@TheoFleury14@MarkJCarney Mark Carney. The former head of the Bank of England, chairman at an asset management company and also Goldman Sachs. This guy, at the top of some of the largest monuments to capitalism, is going to take Canada into Communism?
Who's your dealer?
@elonmusk@paul8stables Hey, if you're going to try and tell my country what it should and shouldn't do, perhaps you should learn a bit about how the various bits of it work.

The CPS and the Home Office are completely separate entities, for one.
On rape gangs, consent, and what the Home Office told police forces in 2008.
In short: even small changes in technical documents can remove safeguards that are needed to stop grotesque evil on an industrial scale.

@sophielouisecc Every single problem you listed is the result of right wing economic policy.
"Just a little more capitalism bro, I swear it'll work this time!" Isn't the solution.
