listen to scal…. this the JT gravity that casuals don’t see in the box score…. the opposing gameplan is always stop tatum just like the finals. these coaches never learn
Joe Mazzulla on why he doesn’t tell players they’re going to play in advance:
“I just feel like if you give a guy an idea if he's going to or not going to, it changes his preparation on a daily basis.”
“If you’re only ready to go because you know you’re gonna play, that doesn’t really help your process.”
Mazzulla on the physicality toward the end of tonight’s game:
“I loved it. It was great. I thought it was tremendous.”
Also loved the way JT handled the hard foul by Grant:
“Didn’t lay around, didn’t let him faze him. Got right up, went to the FT line, and did his business.”
Breaking down some Jrue Holiday film. I love how instead of opening his hips when guys attack his top foot, he will slide to create contact. Often times resulting the a steal from the ball being so exposed
Jayson Tatum might have the coldest NBA Finals pic of all time
There are tons of these iconic Finals photos that have made their way around Twitter
