Every time I get on Pinterest, I want to chop my hair, redo my room, buy a whole new wardrobe, get 5 tiny tattoos, start exercising and dieting and try 20 new recipes😭😭
i actually think "surface level" friendships are very healthy. not everyone in your life has to be your ride or die. some friends are for the gym. some are for going out. some are just for complaining about work or bureaucracy. when you stop expecting everyone to be your everything, the disappointment disappears. those deep convos and connections are for the 2-3 people closest to you
I don’t think enough people talk about how romantic it is to find your way back to yourself. To stop surviving and start living again. To rebuild your life so gently that one day you look around and realize… you’ve finally made it home.
Unfortunately, I do want a provider. I do want a protector. I do want a leader. I do want a dominant man. I do want emotional maturity and effective communication. I do want mental stability. I do want to be spoiled. I do want self awareness. I do want clingy, obsessed and safe. I do want someone who chooses me every time. And nobody is going to make me feel bad for wanting those things in a partner.
It's so selfish to enter someone's life, see that they're a loving, cheerful, and good person, and decide to ruin their peace because you haven't dealt with your own issues. Leave people alone if you have no intention of showing up with sincerity.
Some people spent so much of their lives trying to survive that they never got the chance to learn how to swim, speak a foreign language, play an instrument, travel, or simply explore life beyond work and responsibilities. That’s a side of poverty we rarely talk about.
