👏👏Nigeria's Udodi Onwuzurike has qualified for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, qualifying via the World rankings.
Udodi booked his spot in the men's 200m for Tokyo, moving up the ladder in the updated world rankings to finalize athletes who made it to the World Champs.
The Nigerian athlete has had an impressive season, finishing 3rd in the men's 200m at his first Diamond League outing in Brussels. He is the highest ranked Nigerian athlete this season in the men's 200m with a Season's Best of 20.17s.
Onwuzurike will be making his second Diamond League appearance, and will be action in the men's 200m in Zurich, going up against the likes of Noah Lyles and Letsile Tebogo.

The fastest by a Caymanian since 2012 when Kemar Hyman set the National Record (9.95).
He broke the Games Record he set in the heats, beating Ronal Longa 🇨🇴 who finished 2nd in 10.07s and Jaleel Croal 🇻🇬 in 10.16s for 3rd.
