Sabine, it seems rational. Just nationalise them like Venezuela nationalising oil companies. But either that reinforces the capacity for tyrannical government, or its impractical because no one will control AI. Seems better to to have autonomous and multitudes of AI agent not under thr complete control of any single human agency.

I understand how you may feel, Tom. But from here, this, in conjunction with other things we're seeing, does appear to indicate a leftist leaning innmany institutions that is at the core of these sorts of bad judgements. Victim or criminal in a serious medical condition, should be attended to with urgency. What has crept into the mindsets of these responders that they didnt. You should honestly ask yourself if theres a bigger issue here.
