My greatest concern for Elder Scrolls 6 isn't bugs, jank, or writing. It's this HR-approved, sterile, edgeless, sexless, "safe" tone in everything coming out from Microsoft, now. It's so pervasive it has to be enforced across every studio they own. Starfield showed it.
Forza Horizon 6 vs. Forza Horizon 1 intro cutscene
Yes, you see that right. A 14 year old game's cutscene looks ten times better than the latest release. We went from the level of Rockstar to Ubisoft. Cutscenes evolved, but backwards.
I can think of things from Skyrim that Microsoft would never allow as dialog or quests. Proposing to a hagraven while drunk. Shaming Haelga. Belethor joking about selling slaves. The statue of Dibella. Feminine armor. "Thalmor bitch." The option to be racist to Dunmer in dialog.
Every new car in the U.S. will be required by law to have tech that puts constant surveillance on the driver by 2027.
AI in your car will determine if you're sober and fit to drive, automatically turning off the vehicle if it determines you're a danger on the road.
Do you think there's an ideological connection between video game companies creating ugly female protags from scans of beautiful models, and beautiful women going to Hollywood and being uglified by unnecessary surgery?
This is what being an American really is. No piece of paper can make you an American. It comes from the soul. πΊπΈ

This is true. Atheism isn't a thing. It's a nothing. An absence. It has no prescriptions in and of itself. We don't claim to have all the answers, we just don't think religion has them, and we reject arguments of the gaps.
Wrong. This woman killed New Atheism.
If you're not familiar with Rebecca Watson, she's a tenth-tier atheist blogger who kicked up a stink back in 2011 when she went to an atheist conference in Dublin and some dude hit on her in the elevator. She ranted endlessly about how "creepy" he was and how "unsafe" being asked out on a date made her feel and the incident was dubbed "Elevatorgate."
Richard Dawkins waded into the fracas and suggested that being hit on in an elevator wasn't the end of the world. He asked you out, Becky, you weren't interested, end of. This caused everyone to FREAK OUT at Dawkins' "misogyny" and about the supposed problem with "misogyny" in atheism in general, leading large numbers of prominent atheists such as PZ Myers and Jen McCreight to split off into Atheism Plus. Atheism Plus was atheism with a rape whistle, its adherents more focused on fighting da patriarchy then with stuff that...actually has to do with atheism.
That's why atheism collapsed in on itself as a sociopolitical force. The left, per usual, ate themselves alive.
The more you look at any ascendant movement, the more you realize there are people with baggage who want to bring that baggage into it and ruin it.
BTW: Religion has this weakness too.
