@originalgaaabs I can definitely see where the shippers are coming from, but I personally prefer them as a Secret Third Thing. I don’t go for longer fanfics with them as a pair, but there’s some lovely Strattland art and comics out there that I like, I guess I don’t mind as much when it’s not

@grnpurplgrmln @pvntom Right like, if we go by book canon I guess he’s stuck in there, but in the movie we already see Grace go into Rocky’s atmosphere in the xenonite suit when he visits Rocky’s ship, I’m sure Rocky would be able to make more and improved versions to let Grace venture out into Erid

@ADreamerCloud Upon googling the matter, apparently wool takes a really high temp to ignite, way above the temp on Erid, so I guess I was worrying over nothing and any wool creations would be fine in Rocky’s environment - heat-wise anyway, dunno about the pressure

#grocky Hmm… I’ve seen fics where Rocky makes Grace courting gifts out of xenonite, jewelry or more figures… I’m not sure I’ve seen as much of Grace making things for Rocky. I kinda assumed he made the earth hacksack, what if he knit little plush figures and things for Rocky?

@ADreamerCloud I haven’t read the book but I did know that, admittedly it confuses me why a species with a hard exoskeleton/carapace would develop something like a sweater as clothing, but that’s a good point, clearly there’s something soft that can be woven that survives in their environment…

This is one of my personal gripes with a certain ship - nothing wrong with the ship itself, at all, moreso it’s the way sometimes people act like the *only* way for Grace to have a happy ending is to have another human in his life

Blech, feeling weird about seeing people say that Grace didn’t get a happy ending in PHM just because he won’t ever see another human again, as if the Eridians and his *best friend* aren’t right there, yeah it’s sad but he’s not *alone* like people act like he is
