僕はこれから、
動画編集者にとってAIは
「使えたら便利」ではなく、

ほぼ必須になると考えています。

すでに僕の実案件でも、
一人語りのビジネス系動画なら、

・カット
・テロップ
・一部の装飾

このあたりは、かなり自動化できるようになっています。

ショート動画の切り抜きも、
素材を入れて候補を出してもらうところまでは自動化できる。

つまり、
「編集作業を速くこなせる」
だけでは、今後ますます差別化しにくくなると僕は思っています。

じゃあ、
これから動画編集者はどう生き残るのか。

僕は大きく2つだと考えています。

1つ目は、
AIを使って圧倒的に効率化し、
大量の動画を低コストで回せる人。

もう1つは、
作業者を超えて
「判断・提案できる編集者」になること。

僕なりに、
動画編集者を5段階に分けるとこうです。

【レベル1：作業者】

言われた通りに編集する。

カット。
テロップ。
BGM。
SE。
指示されたものを、そのまま形にする。

【レベル2：安心して任せられる編集者】

納期を守る。
マニュアルを守る。
連絡が安定している。

同じ修正を何度も繰り返さない。
「この人なら普通に任せられる」
と思ってもらえる状態です。

【レベル3：意図を汲める編集者】

ただ指示通り作るのではなく、
「なぜ、この動画を作るのか？」
まで考えられる。

誰に見せるのか。
何を伝えたいのか。
どこを強調するのか。

動画の目的を理解して、
編集判断に反映できる状態です。

【レベル4：改善提案できる編集者】

僕は、ここから一気に価値が上がると思っています。
言われたことをただやるだけではない。

でも、勝手に編集を変えるわけでもない。
「今回の目的なら、ここはこうした方がいいと思います」
と、目的や数字を見ながら提案できる。

視聴維持率。
クリック。
問い合わせ。
成約。

見る数字は案件によって違いますが、
動画の目的から逆算して改善案を出せる状態です。

【レベル5：パートナー】

動画1本だけを見ていない。
クライアントの

・事業
・商品
・発信
・顧客
・数字

まで理解して、

「次は何を改善するべきか？」
を一緒���考えられる。

ここまで来ると、
「動画編集をお願いする人」ではなく、
事業を一緒に伸ばすパートナーに近くなります。

僕は編集者として、
これから残るのは大きく2種類だと考えています。

AIを使って大量生産できる編集者か、
AIでは代替しづらいレベル4〜5の編集者。

僕は、この方向には絶対進んでいくと思っています。

これまでは、
カットが速い。
テロップが綺麗。
ショートカットをたくさん知っている。

こういうことも十分な武器になりました。

もちろん、今後も基礎スキルは必要です。

でもAIが同じ作業��短時間で処理できるようになれば、
そこだけで単価を維持していくのは厳しくなると思っています。

そして、もう1つ。
僕がAI時代にかなり大きな問題になると思っていることがあります。

それは、
初心者が経験を積むための仕事まで減る可能性があること。

今までは、

カットする。
テロップを入れる。
修正される。
直す。
クライアントの意図を知る。
また改善する。

こうやって実案件で失敗しながら、

レベル1
↓
レベル2
↓
レベル3
↓
レベル4
と成長できました。

でも、レベル1〜2の作業をAIがかなり処理するようになったら、

初心者はどこで実案件の経験を積むのか。
どこで修正されるのか。
どこでクライアントの意図を学ぶのか。

僕はここが、これからかなり重要になると思ってい���す。

だから今後は、
Premiereの操作方法だけを覚える。
カットを速くする。
テロップを綺麗にする。

だけでは足りない。

早い段階から、
「なぜ、この編集をするのか？」
を考える必要があります。

そして、
AIに任せられる作業はAIに任せる。

浮いた時間を、

・視聴者を理解する
・クライアントを理解する
・数字を見る
・改善案を考える
・提案する

こっちに使う。
AIに勝つ必要はありません。

AIを使って、
人間側はさらに判断力と提案力を上げる。

僕は、これがAI時代の動画編集者の生存戦略だと思っています。

そして僕自身も、
実案件の中でAIや自動化を使いながら、

「どこをAIに任せるのか」
「どこは人間が判断するのか」

を今も検証しています。

僕が目指したいのも、
単に編集ソフトを使える人ではありません。

「編集できる」
から
「安心して任せられる」へ。

さらに、
「意図を汲める」
「改善提案できる」
「AIを使いながら自分で改善できる」
ところまで成長できる編集者を増やしたいと思っています。
