【Lost in Translation by a Native Japanese Speaker】
The word “will” appears many times in One Piece. In Japanese, it’s pronounced 意思 (ishi).
But the physical form of the “will” that Joy Boy and the Kozuki family left behind is the stone of the Poneglyphs — and “stone” is also pronounced 石 (ishi) in Japanese.
In Oden’s journal, he wrote:
“On that day, we learned everything about the world.”
So maybe there is also a giant gravestone for Joy Boy on Laugh Tale, and that gravestone becomes the final piece of the Rio Poneglyph, revealing the entire history of the world.
And there’s one more word that comes to mind with the same pronunciation, 医師 (ishi): doctor.
Hiriluk may not have had real medical skill, but he was still a doctor who tried to cure the “sickness” of the country known as Drum Kingdom.
In the same way, maybe Joy Boy was also a doctor — someone who tried to cure the sickness of the world.

The internet is so flip flop. Mfs will look you in the eyes and say elbalf is trash when it got:
-Some of the best lore and reveal drops in the entire series.
-One of the best fights with imu vs loki
-Peak characterization for robin, harald rocks and loki and even brook
And it’s not even finished.
