Every now and then we still get some criticism that the Characters in Wicked don't use the same 'Realistic Human' base model so many games use these days that looks like it came straight out of some generic model library.
We just started putting the Artbook together for No Rest for the Wicked and - to me - our character designs are so much more appealing than the generic humans you see in most of these other ARPGs that all look the exact same.
Not to mention that our characters are designed to work more efficiently and be more readable from a top-down perspective and are exaggerated so that our animators can go to down designing movesets that you can actually read.
If you ask me, this is 1000x better than just sticking with generic models that every chump can quickly cobble together or some 'Meta Human' atrocity that immediately feels like Uncanny Valley.
