@chibbqk1ng Iโve been buying flats of @mickklugfarms strawberries the past few weeks. Switched to their cherries to pair with the GA peaches I just started getting in the mail from @treeripefruit. Apricots and blueberries coming up. I love summer.
@chibbqk1ng@OskarsFist Great list. Check out Alpino in Corktown next time. Ladder 4 and Marrow are worth trying. Sozai and Noble Fish are two very different sushi spots a half mile apart up in Clawson. Spiedo in Ann Arbor is good, as are Bellflower and Dixboro House in nearby Ypsilanti and Dixboro
@bkevenides@StreetsandSan@ChicagoDOT@streetsblogchi@chi_streets I like the idea of protected bike lanes, but without the infrastructure and commitment to maintain them properly, they limit routes and force people into traffic for extended periods after it snows or rains.
@MattMartinChi Thanks for your efforts. As part of the bike lane upgrades, is there any chance of re-doing the speed humps to include cut-outs for the bike lanes? Iโd like to see this city-wide whenever streets are repaved or new humps are installed
@JGrantGlover Completely agree. Crossing Ashland and moving over to turn left on Marshfield is a hold your breath moment. Wasnโt there some talk of extending the 606 to Clybourn as part of all the development?
@greenfieldjohn Thanks for your thoughtful article. Keep advocating for the Pratt St bridge. It would be very useful.
Come to think about it, Roscoe would also be a great spot for a ped/bike bridge. We need more bike friendly east-west routes over the river.
@greenfieldjohn I often plan long bike rides to reach a specific food location so I can indulge. Looking forward to checking spots on your map.
Previous favs were @LemsBarBQ and @BrownSugarBakeries (caramel cake!) on the south side and @PrairieGrass847 (lemon ricotta pancakes!) in Northbrook
@greenfieldjohn Bridge @ Pratt would be very helpful.
It would also be helpful to improve the crossing from the channel trail to west bound Pratt.
Thereโs only 1 ped Xing and signal across McCormick, on the south end. West bound bikers have to cross McCormick and Pratt to get in the wb lane.
@EJ_Jacobs@greenfieldjohn Wood to Hubbard to Morgan to Roosevelt. If you donโt like riding on Roosevelt, take Morgan to Washington to Dearborn to Polk to Grant Park sidewalk. Or turn off Polk at Plymouth Ct to 9th to Grant Park
