This is the true story of what turned out to be the world’s oldest conflict.
Indeed the Palestinian people have been oppressed for so long.
May Allah be with Palestine 🇵🇸
the Burna Boy album cycle and how it always repeats itself. 🔂
Burna Boy announces an album is coming — and then controversy and false news about him arises weeks and/or days before the album arrives, and they also try to “cancel” him per usual and the said forthcoming project, but the album drops, 20% say it’s genius work and very well made and praise him for an album they can relate to regardless of it’s theme, 80% say it’s mid and worse than his previous albums.
the album doesn’t do “so well” according to their local standards on the Nigerian charts, because the Apple Music charts especially are public and are dangerously manipulated as we’ve all noticed in recent times, but then it starts popping on charts around the world, while breaking global records and then Nigerians will begin to say it’s “payola”, “bot streams” and “Atlantic.”
the album goes ahead to get a #GRAMMYs nomination or more, and then again, they begin to say it was paid for, or he “licked” someone’s ass for the nod. some solo songs and feature songs begin to gain massive traction and streams and certifications. and then, some of that 80% begin to shift towards the album openly, mainwhile they’ve all been listening secretly and behind closed doors.
Burna Boy goes on global tour and begins to fill multi capacity and bigger venues no other African artist have ever dared to attempt and in regions none will dare to, with the said “mid album” and then Nigerians begin to see white people sing along to the songs and then begin to claim Burna Boy and the album anyway possible as they can. while, Nigerian media do their best to double back.
#GRAMMYs night approaches, and they wish he loses so bad as the first time, so they can be right and brag about how they “made” him — but if he wins... they begin to say “he’s now in the top 3” meanwhile, the other ‘two’ combined haven’t done nor achieved half of what he has done in the calendar year in review, and all the previous years ever since he debuted. but if he loses, they laugh and mock him for months, for even being nominated and try to diminish all the great feats and milestones he achieved before the #GRAMMYs night.
but he’ll keep excelling forever and “… this Naija no love. only Jah know where it started from, oluwa Burna still apply pressure. sneak up on you on a silent one.” will forever be true and relevant because it carries so much weight and is undiluted facts. #ITOLDTHEM
