Al Michaels is a legend, but Kirk Herbstreit is doing the Lord’s work making up for all the missed calls and lack of energy Michaels has now at this stage of his career.
Was really hoping @KennyAlbert was gonna sneak in a “hell freezing over in Florida” joke during the @NHL_On_TNT broadcast of the Winter Classic tonight when we found out Brian Boucher’s birth month was the last time it snowed in Miami.
For a game b/w two teams w/ a combined 8-22 record, the @Saints & @Titans put on a heck of a show. Chase Young had one of the best strip-sack TDs you’ll ever see; Shough & Ward made several crazy throws each; the Titans complete inability to tackle made the Saints look immortal…
The green screen advertisement behind the pitcher and batter is actively making this a worse viewing experience on @TBSNetwork . Sad times that networks put in so much effort to have great production quality across the board, to have it severely diminished by one thing. #NLDS
You gotta be kidding me:
Tigers took Mize out in the 4th after facing 12 batters (62 pitches) and only giving up one walk and one hit.
Padres just took Cease out in the 4th after facing 15 batters (69 pitches) and giving up 3 hits, one intentional walk, and 5 Ks.
So lame.
Unbelievable how much this whole thing has progressed, bringing us this perfection. Well done, Andrew. And Stanford. And the ghost writer. And Dearest Mother most of all.

@Kurkjian_ESPN@JimDeshaies Ryan had 12 strikeouts in that game, according to Baseball-Reference. Scott’s was a 13-strikeout no-hitter. Only 12 no-hitters ever had more strikeouts than that. Nolan Ryan had 4 of them.
