Don is right. Self-defense rights matter most where Democrat policies have made public safety the weakest, and that usually lands hardest on law-abiding Black residents trapped in high-crime blue cities. The data has said the same ugly thing for years: Black Americans face the highest homicide victimization rates, while the people writing the strictest carry laws usually live behind gates, security, staff, and neighborhoods regular working people cannot afford. Convenient little arrangement, isn’t it?

The old “may-issue” systems in places like New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California did not stop criminals from carrying illegal guns. They created a permission slip system where the connected, wealthy, and politically approved had better access to protection while ordinary people were buried under fees, delays, and subjective “proper cause” nonsense. Then Bruen hit, and suddenly the Constitution reminded these states it still exists.

The truth is simple: criminals do not wait for permits. They do not respect paperwork. They do not pause because Albany, Trenton, Boston, or Sacramento wrote another restriction. Strict permitting did not disarm the dangerous. It disarmed the decent. Law-abiding citizens in dangerous neighborhoods deserve the same right to defend their families as the elites who outsource their safety to armed security.

Democrat-run cities keep producing the same outcomes, then act confused when citizens want the ability to protect themselves. That confusion is not leadership. It is policy failure wearing a cheap suit.

Pulled the camera footage. Mailman sets it on top of the mailbox, takes the photo, looks both ways… and takes it back with him.
