At @karaswisher certainly doesn't need me to clarify her remarks on The View but at least regarding Pelley she didn't say he lacked expertise and that's why he was pushed out. She said the people running CBS News lacked expertise as evidenced by pushing him out.

According to ad tracking firm Guideline, NFL ad revenue hit a record $5.9 billion in 2025-2026, up 7% from the previous year. However, it is about 50% less than total rights fees for NFL.
Some more context on Scripps - DirecTV. Yes it is about fees (Scripps went dark on Comcast for awhile until deal was reached). But DirecTV also filed at FCC against a Scripps deal to acquire more TV stations. DirecTV also big reason why Nexstar-Tegna deal now in limbo w courts.
