@CWUnews The ballot has been froze because of the threat of a no vote and with nowhere to go next a yes vote is needed to move forward. It will take a few years to repair the lost harmony in offices with some striking and some not. Move forward and move on is the only way
@LuckyRick65@JjhColin@CWUnews The problem is the latest offer hasn’t really been shared with everyone. Later starts will be phased in over 3 years and the majority of offices will only be effected by 30mins to an hr? Sick pay change only effects serial sickers who have 3/4 odd few day absences a year,
@logieminks@CWUnews Ronnie that’s the danger if this goes on and on, I’m in my 30th year and want another 10. I don’t want to walk in one day and be told ‘sorry we’ve lost these contracts ‘ goodbye there’s no work for you anymore?
@minesatreble99@CWUnews But it’s not a days pay, it’s 4-5 now depending on rest days. The cracks in units are starting to appear and people falling out, I’ve seen it before it can split an office and ruin it forever
@minesatreble99@CWUnews The business will not back down here like they always have in the past, that’s the difference this time around, lost pay is gone forever but jobs don’t need to go
@minesatreble99@CWUnews It was 30 years ago and the norm back then, people thought they were hard done by back then. Times change and we all adapt. I’ve been shot down for a few comments as can’t say a lot in a few words but change is needed to survive. Better to negotiate together than lose more money
