I need to work on serving better facial expressions and stances in photos during presentations but I had a ball presenting today and collaborating with the education community at @stansw#stage6conference. So much was learned reflectively but also from others!
Performance is not dropping in stage 6 science courses - in fact the % of band 6 results against unwavering performance descriptors show increased performance of students over time @stansw#stage6conference#stanswteachingcommunity
The enrolments in stage 6 bio, chem and phys have not drastically dropped at all since the introduction of standards referencing introduced to the HSC in 2001 @stansw#stage6conference#STANSWteachingcommunity
The excitement at school when students found an anemone stinkhorn (Aseroe rubra) in the canteen garden beds.

@TannyRiach Spores and they appear to be more common that I first suspected. We have not found any others on campus so we are unsure of where the spores originated.
A great question and huge motivator! Make successes as visible as constructive feedback. Humans are conditioned to focus on the negatives more than positives.
How to help those disengaged students. Help them see the academic progress they are making as it is so motivating for them. What do we do to show them this? @GMastersACER#STAStage6
