Malignant glomus tumor (glomangiosarcoma)- Plump epithelioid to spindled cells with moderate to marked atypia. Numerous mitotic figures. Other areas showed more uniformly rounded, bland glomus cells. IHC: (+) SMA & caldesmon (-) pancytokeratin, S100 & desmin. #BSTpath

@Patho_gnomonic #1: pathology rocks. Most programs will give you a good educational experience (volume/variety of cases). For me, location (SE US) and vibe (happy residents & faculty) were most important! I thinks it’s a good sign if residents want to stay at their home program for fellowship!
