Dear Pius Kamugisha,

It’s two years since you left us in the tragic accident . It still doesn’t feel true that you did . It’s like one day, I will move around and find you in a corner . It feels like one day, I will see you peeping in my office to greet me before you enter yours . We visited your resting place on Saturday and I think I now believe you are indeed gone. Gone, only in body but not soul.

I see you in the dreams and aspirations you had . I see you in the children . I see you Pio!

At your funeral we made some promises to you. We promised to see the projects we had going come to life . We promised to look after the children . We promised to take care of your mum . We are trying Pio. The Motel in Katwe is open. It’s called @Galaxy Motel. Even the building is open, like you had suggested , it’s Baagala house. Just like you had suggested . The economy isn’t helping but yes , it’s a dream that is now real.

We also promised to see the TV come to life . Yes Galaxy TV Uganda launched . In less than 2 years , we are among the top 5 and the preferred TV for youths . Pio.

The children Pio, we see them grow. We see many bits of you in them . They are religious, they are happy, they are jolly .

And other things I can’t say here .. but you know because you are a soul, you can see ! We will keep trying . We will keep the promise . Keep resting Pio.
